If you don't like the formula, blame Hans,
but it does seem to work for
the most part.
And what is the formula you finally decided on?
Ok, in the interest of sparking discussion and to fine tune the formula,
it's:
Awp
---
BI
A = Area in square meters
w = Weight in kilograms
p = Power in Watts
B = Total storage bits (i.e. total K-bytes * 8 or total M-bytes * 1024 * 8)
I = Instructions per Second
We calculated the Zuse 1 and the Zuse factor came out to something like
200.
