Feh. My made-in-the-USA 16C is on its second set of
batteries since
I purchased it sometime around 1983. I wonder if the same claim could
be made for an iPhone 25+ years from now?
No, because the battery is not trivially replaceable ;-)
Right now, my iPhone 3GS, though I really enjoy it, makes me think of those
old Ricochet modems which are essentially useless because the service provider
no longer supports them.
Come to think of it, my iPhone 8GB and my original iPhone 3G are essentially
just iPod Touches now. I probably should jailbreak them.
