Exactly.
That's the part that is bothering me. The guy who bought it from
Fred Hatfield paid $40,000 just a few months earlier and purposefully did
not tell Mr. Hatfield what he planned to turn around and auction it for.
To me, this is just plain wrong.
No, it's capitalism.
Taking advantage of people is sleazy. The old guy got taken
advantage of, plain and simple. If "that's capitalism", then capitalism
is sleazy.
Capitalism doesn't /have/ to be sleazy, but so few people follow
Carnegie's views on wealth and capitalism. ;)
