So am I, actually. The only 2 Xerox machines I have are a Model 3000 word
processor (seems to be an 8085-based machine) and a Daybreak. I know very
little about the latter (one day I'll figure it out), but it was cheap
enought to be worth grabbing.
Actually, Tony, we in the Silicon Valley area were recently treated to a
live demo of the Star at Xerox PARC, and one of the things we learned was
that the "Daybreak" (we're talking about the brown tower case about 2'
high x 16" deep by 16" wide, right?) is a later model of the Star (Model
8035 I believe?) So I hope I'm remembering all this correctly, and I hope
someone will jump in here if I'm wrong, but you may actually have a Star
in your midst.
