attributable to this: if
FidoNet wasn't hostile to WWIV sysops, it's likely that WWIVnet would have ever
achieved the level of

As a VirtualNET operator at the time, I agree. Had the FidoNet contact not been such
@$#%!! when we
got it to work VBBS, VNET would have never atttained 1500+ nodes.
