Brian, you might want to get yourself a gadget
called a "Kill-A-Watt". You
can plug your PC's power strip into it
and see exactly how much power your
computer consumes. They cost about $25.
These devices might also be available on loan from your public library
or energy utility.
That darn socialism! A friend of mine put some of those death panels
on his roof last fall and he says his energy bill went down 25% this
winter.
