While the point is taken, his windows configuration must have been
seriously broken for the word processor to not be able to keep up with
him. That sounds like he was shoehorning windows 2000 into 64MB of ram
or something.
Hmm, not so sure. This laptop's running at 266MHz with 192MB of memory and
Openoffice under Linux really struggles[1]; I could believe that a 300MHz
machine saddled with the extra baggage of Windows could have problems.
[1] It copes if I don't run anything else other than the desktop environment -
but for 'typical' usage where I might have a usenet client or web browser or
Thunderbird open it has real issues.
