Ohio Scientific OS65D...
The basic von Neumann computer is well-established,
but most
of them have a lot more common ground than that.
Uniquely-identified disks,
Yup...
an OS with a command line that lets you create,
rename, execute,
edit and delete files on those disks.
Nope, there are directory tracks that are more of a "good idea" than
a real part of the OS. You can put a name and track/sector info in
the "directory". The BASIC interpreter will load and store programs
from/into those tracks if they fit (Oh, didn't I mention that? You
define how big the file is when you "create" it. Once created,
that's how big it is and how big it stays. Of course, only BASIC
cares). The OS level command line is more like a monitor. You can
tell it to load a track/sector into memory at an address, multiple
tracks require multiple commands. Then, you can jump to that address.
