Well you do sell equipment, and do appraisals

a collector/dealer, was I wrong?
I wish I sold stuff, but no, my acquire/dispense ratio is probably like
1000:1. I acquire way more than I get rid of. When I do sell, it's
because I have a large surplus of something.
I'm not a computer dealer. I'm a hobbyist like you. I'm a collector.
I'm a historian. I'm an archivist. I'm also a consultant that uses all
the skills I've acquired as a hobbyist to make a living.
What might be confusing you is that I do occasionally BROKER sales.
That's quite a bit different than what a dealer does, which is buys
specifically to sell at a higher price. I don't do that now, never have,
and probably never will. Collectors who truly love what they collect
don't make good dealers.
