Actually no, it doesn't trust the user to be intelligent, it just
doesn't care if you make a mess of things.

Or like any decent tool, real or virtual does. I don't want my tools to
stop me doing stupid things becuase they'd also stop me doing odd, but
ultimately sensible, things.
