BBC's Newsnight programme has just covered the problem
(often discussed here) of the rapid rate of turnover of
new media (tapes, floppies, VHS, DVD ...).
The executive summary: "Keep copying to newer media"
I just walked in and caught the end.

Best wait 30 mins or so to let them put up the latest
programme. It's pretty much the last piece in the programme.
