Let me recommend HDT or Harddisk ToolKit. a very nice
formatter/partitioner on classic mac OSes like system 7 and around.

Hi!
I installed A/UX on three different Quadras, with various HD (one was
around 4Gb) and with an external partitioner before booting A/UX CD.
The disks weren't Apple original, so a patched partitioner was needed.
