It was thus said that the Great Deano Calver once stated:

day many PC graphics card blitter are less configurable than the Amiga's...
Seeing how you could program the blitter to massage the data into the
proper format for the disk drives ... yes, I would say the blitters are more
configurable on the Amiga than anything else.
