Did RCA make any hardware for the VIP expansion ports?
Did anyone else?
Yes. I have several, and I have a manual that describes a few of the
modules available.
OK... next question... can you elaborate? Are they just memory, or were
there I/O-sorts of expansions?
I was trying to locate the booklet. I saw it as recently as a couple
weeks ago but can't remember where I put it in the meantime.
However, I have archived e-mail messages about this since I made copies
for someone before.
The manual that describes the modules is called:
Instruction Manual Including CHIP-8X for the VIP Expansion Keypad, VIP
Expansion Keypad Interface Board, VIP Color Board, VIP Simple Sound
Board
It covers these modules:
VIP Expansion Keyboard VP580
VIP Expansion Keypad Interface Board VP585
VIP Color Board VP590
VIP Simple Sound Board VP595
