The socket is the only bit I've not tried
(haven't got any to hand, but
that's easy to fix). Where I mainly find the problem is getting the
connecting wire into the right place & actually getting it to solder in in
less time than it takes the plastic to melt...
There is a goodie called a Third Hand, basically a small weighted base with
two swively arms that end in alligator clips, and can easily be used by
itself or a small vise or potatoe.
