... if there aren't many bids before the last few
hours,
there probably isn't going to be anyone sniping the
auction.
I did get sniped in the last minute as a sole bidder on
something once. It was a particularly foul experience.
Like the guy was too chicken to bid normally. Bidding
first and then sniping last is not too good, but a lot better
than sneaking the whole way.
