Its completely stupid that incandescents are being banned anyway. If
the user wants to pay more for the warm lighting they provide, that's
their choice. Noone and nothing is harmed except the purchaser's wallet.
I agree 100%. The warmth or color caste issues are moot, with dozens of
colors of CFLs available, but the point is, the public should make the
choice, not the government. This "nanny government" crap is really
getting out of control.

The public is stupid, they will buy the cheapest crap they can even if it
has a sticker saying it will kill you in 5 years.
Few people really have a clue what they are really paying for electricity,
gasoline and heat because they don't figure in all the money the government
spends to subsidize those prices. I think the governments push to use less
electricity is because we are reaching the point where we cannot keep the
juice flowing at present usage rates.
