I recall at one company we used Micropolous ( SP?
) drives. We had
almost 100% failure in less than 6 months. It did our company a lot of
damage.
A lot of outfits (e.g. Sun, HP) used Micropolis drives. Generally, they
were good, but expensive.
Maybe you're thinking of Miniscribe.
