I didn't check for -12V. I'll do that before I
go to the effort of pulling
the chip and replacing it.
Checked it. -0.60v There's a Elpac/TDC CB-3811 DC-DC converter on the
DOes this produce the +12V and -12V supplies from the 5V supply, or the
-12V supply form an exernal +12V supply, or what?
It generates -12v from the +12v coming from the power supply.
Anyway, I asusme it's a potted module ;-(.
I've seen a few that were
little PCBs iwth discrete components on them, and those could be
repaired. Often if one output is missing, the fault is the rectifier or
output capacitor for that output.
I don't know if it's potted or not. If it is indeed dead, I'll crack
it
open and find out. :)
