with a DIPswitch, which allows you much more in the way of flexibility to
try different settings. :-)
Same here--and highly recommended. In one case, the DIP switch
resulted in too high a profile, so I substituted a DIP header with
soldered jumpers. At least one could reuse it. Another technique
I've seen is simply to use little U-shaped jumpers of #20 sold wire
jammed into the socket. Not pretty, but it works.
