Funnily enough, I have a feeling that Linux cat *did* have a binary switch
back in the very early days. Unfortunately I just grabbed the man pages from
an early SLS distribution and there's no 'cat' entry at all so that I can
check :(
I'm sure it must have been a binary rather than a shell built-in, so I'm not
sure why it didn't get a man page...
