the deal? Does anyone have a solution for this? I suppose
an old mac or sun box and an ethernet is the solution I'll

I purchased several of these CF to SCSI adapters via e-bay, and am
using them successfully on PDP11/83s and on Q-bus MicroVAX
systems with SCSI controllers. SCSI2SD would be another option.

While not SCSI to USB, they do provide an easy way of transferring
disc images to and from the systems involved, as well as providing
improved reliability, speed, and reduced power consumption. 2 to 4 GB
CF cards are cheap, fast, and reliable compared to old SCSI drives.
USB CF readers for PC, Mac, Linux, etc., are cheap and common.
