I do remember there was quite a narrow window of time in which to get the UK
event off the ground in order to run it this year, so quite possibly that had

Presumably, in the near future, VCF Midwest will appear on
http://www.vintage.org/events.php ... why the UK crew didn't also use
the traditional VCF site is beyond me.
