I have an SGI Indy that was free thanks to that. It must have been
about 15 years ago, when they were fairly new, and our department bought
a whole lot for a new lab.
Hmm, similar thing happened at my uni with Indys at around the same time -
except the machines were bolted down, but the thieves cut holes in the tops of
the cases and pulled the RAM out that way.
