I had similar problems with Ultrix/MIPS. I made a raw
copy of the CD
to a disk (you can try the MO too) with dd(1) on an other machine.
It instaled from that disk just fine.
Same works with VMS as well. To get a decent copy of VMS loaded on my
MicroVAX III I had to boot off of a dodgy RD54, transfer the CD image via DECnet from an
Alpha, and write it out to a RA71. It took half of forever to do everything, but it
worked great. If my MicroVAX III had SCSI, it would have been a *lot* simpler :^)
