does anyone know the numbers of the two chips that were soldered together?
Well, before the official version came out, lots of TRS-80 Color
Computers were upgraded from 16k to 32k via piggybacking, since
4164 RAMS were so much more expensive than doubled-up 4116's. Note
that this was _not_ supported by Tandy Corporation, but the first
one I saw was done in the repair shop of the Radio Shack Computer
Center where I was teaching at the time. I seem to recall that a
few Sinclairs were upgraded similarly, though it made it hard to get
the case back together.
