Windows 98 will work just fine on a system like that There's also QNX,
OS/2 and various flavors of Linux, Xenix and other *nix. Heck, there's
MS-DOS with a DPMI server if you want to be very lean. Somewhere I've
got a copy of PC-MOS. There's also DR-DOS/GEM.
Depends on what you'd like to do.
OS/2 gets my vote. I ran a 486-33 with OS/2 Warp 4 + XFree86 for quite
a while.
