In fact Googlebot is regularly scanning all my ftp sites quite regularly. But I would not
classify as usefully return search information.
There are several other bots out there (some of them russian, one of them may be mmnt)
scanning ftp sites.
Remember when archie did all this? (Or at least, tried to do all this.)
