Yeah I can see what you're saying about IBM
possibly have some twisted
pair wires in it like a cat 5 cable has. If the cable works I'll be sharing
the sources I've found including the specific one I ordered.

I am certain it's wired straight-through. The TechRef contains scehtmics
of the extender and receiver cards and the pinouts of the DC62 conenctors
match. My worry is that some signals have ot be twisted with ground
wires. This is not specified in the docs I have.
Where on earth can you order DC62 cables from?

The cable worked! Right now it's just a basic setup of a video card,
floppy card, and extender card in the 5150 and the receiver card and hdd
controller card in the 5161 but it worked.
Make sure you get the MALE/MALE cable on the bottom. The top one is
MALE/FEMALE.
I picked the shortest one out of caustion. 2.5'. It's still long enough to
sit the units side by side.
