That builds to a point where people simply go out an buy Monster
without evaluating it. I can't even begin to count the number of
times I've heard someone say that they use Monster speaker cables.
When I ask them if they'd considered 16 AWG zip cord instead, they
think I'm kidding.
The last time I ran into solid-silver wire being used on something
was, oddly enough, the connection between a reset switch and a
motherboard. I figure that someone just grabbed whatever they had on
hand.
Maybe I'm missing out on an important marketing opportunity...
