well as long as something works :-)
Back when I used to use the A500 a lot I used to have to boot a PC XT
emulator and copy files via floppy that way - it was really quite painful!
(Can't remember the name of the emulator now)
Most likely it would be Transformer (it was bundled with most early A500s)
or PC Task.
