Perchlorotethylene or tetrachloroethylene--AKA dry-cleaning fluid.
A barely-adequate substitute for outlawed Freon TF. Careful with it
around plastic, but it gets the most gunked-up deposits off of drive heads.

I use perc as a head cleaner--isopropanol doesn't seem to be as
effective.
