Well, what tape reader was 5150 compatible?
Just about any inexpensive audio cassette recorder. I used a cheap
one with the GE brand on it. AFAIK, IBM did not offer a connecting
cable between the 5 pin DIN and a recorder, but the one offered by
Radio Shack for its own machines worked just fine.
