Yes, I know that /now/. I'm intrigued. My (very meagre) understand of
Polish orthography suggests that the last syllabel of Trzmiel would be
pronounced "yell", more or less, so I'd have expected an Anglicized
version to come out as "tram-yell" not "trammel".
Ah well. Names are a personal matter. I say mine "PROvn" not
"PRUEvn";
the latter is the legal verdict ("not proven"), the former is the
name, derived from Provand, which is a shortening of the title
"Provost of Bar-Lanark" AIUI.
