Yes, they can read, but not write or format them. In fact, the utilitites
that are provided with the 20+20 drive pair won't low-level format the 20MB
media either. It simply rewrites the intermediate level format that it uses
internally. I've tried bulk-reasing seemingly unuseable packs and found that
the old drivers and utilities can recover packs that are useless with the
later software. I don't remember whether this included the 20 MB drives,
though, that is, I don't remember whether the old software would even handle
the 20 MB drives. I may have to give it a try someday.
