that stuff. 
 all we got from DEC was  "so don't do that". 
The One and only time I filed a BugCheck report with Dec
it was 1988 and the ?SE?'s were all over us (by phone) with
pleasantries, and it was patched soon after.  It was as if they
never got calls, and one Bug was enough to make their week.
Not exactly true I'm sure, but that was the way it played out.
