Why on earth
would you want a Linux box or Windows box? OK, I admit I've
got a couple Linux boxes. One is primarily for working from home, the other
is a dedicated box for running a PDP-10 emulator (doesn't even run
X-Windows).
I won't run CDE on stockholm. Aside from the usual security holes of having
RPC services on a machine that isn't behind a firewall, it's a resource
hog and I hate X anyway. (I do like Aqua, though -- Apple's done a fab job
on OS X.)
But is there any relationship whatsoever between Aqua and X11?
Personally, I think OSX looks too much as though it's sculpted out of
Mentos and toothpaste to be a nice system. It lacks the classic elegance
of earlier Mac systems.
