(Did gcc ever make it to the PDP-10? Anyone know what
unsigned int
and unsigned short might be there?)
I don't know whether there has been any C implementation (gcc or not)
for the PDP-10. I'd expect to see 9-bit char, 18-bit short, and 36-bit
int. long could be 36 or 72; I could argue for either.
I think a good case could be made that short and int should each be 36
bits, but I'm not sure whether I agree with it.
