   I believe that
Suns can be set to ignore the graphics console [...]     At the "ok"
prompt, to use ttya as the console, type this:
 setenv input-device ttya
 setenv output-device ttya
    To change back to the keyboard & framebuffer, type this:
 setenv input-device keyboard
 setenv output-device screen 
Yes...but there's an easier way.

Leave input-device set to keyboard and output-device set to screen, and
simply unplug the keyboard.  When it can't find the keyboard, it
switches over to ttya for input and output on its own.
