I'm way ahead of you. I've only had a few jobs along those lines, but I've
found that there are folks who just need a few prototypes done and they
don't want to invest in a programmer. That's where I (and my competition
down the road in Arlington, WA) come in (but I'm less expensive than he
is). ;-)
I don't usually charge if a fellow CLASSICCOMP'er needs a chip or two
done. That's along the lines of trading favors, something many businesses
won't even consider.
