Oh yeah, I remember Maxtor shipping their drives in foot-square box,
with this cube of charcoal-colored spongy foam inside. It was split
in half, with a cavity in the center for the drive.
We used to keep 'em-- they got used alot for RMA's back to Priam ;^>

Hi all guys. It's the old 10+ years old drive
that I need to ship to
a guy on this list...
I have shipped quite number of 3.5" drives back and forth packed in
firm foam, bubble films and such but never did ship that kind.
Big box, firm foam thick slabs and some bubble films and yeah, and
have to bag the drive in anti-static bag.
What else? What is typical design in old days they used to ship
those 5.25" FH drives when it ruled the earth before the little 3.5"
drives appeared?
Thanks!
And may that all keep their platters spinning for years to come. :)
