Is not long ago (like few months) we upgraded a
24 user (serial screens)
system because the MFM hard disc in the 386 based server had finally

Hmmmm, Xenix? A library perhaps?
BOS, as it happens... a particularly old version of an accounts system
-http://www.global3000.com/ - which operates as it's own OS in those versions.
I still support some Novell 3.12 and 4.11 servers

Oh and to answer some other posts, I don't particularly like Windows
either, but my esteemed employer flogs the Microsoft horse. At home, and
for the sidelines, everything other than the desktop, (i.e. fileserver, web
server, mail server etc) I run FreeBSD.
