Magnetic domains don't erode over time.
The bubbles in bubble memory should be there
for as many years as the circuits don't fail and the
package keeps chemicals out( K-years? )
The same for core memory. As long as the wires
are there it will hold until over written.
Rotating media has the problems of possible contact
( older hard drives and floppies ) and the media flaking
off.
All can be effected by strong external fields.
Bubble is especially designed to be effected by external
fields and can be corrupted easier that others, like
floppies.
