Perhaps the Classic Computer list should adopt a policy similar the what the
PICLIST (a list for Microchip PIC-related issues) has used: namely, each
posting gets assigned a tag (by the poster) which identifies the basic
category that the message belongs to. Members of the list can then select
which categories they wish to view and those categories not selected will
not show up in their inbox.
