Well yes, you need a license code, but they're free and take five

owns the relevant rights, it becomes useless to anyone who doesn't
happen to already have a magic code.
Sure, but the licenses don't expire. This obviously isn't ideal (I
want the friggin' source code!), but it's not an obstacle worth skipping
a project over.
