The 7339 in the picture is a date code (week 39 1973), not a type
number, and chances are your transistor also carries a date code. Any
other markings at all?
There aren't many transistors in an ASR33, so if you tell us where it
is, someone might know. Is it one of the power transitors mounted on a
metal plate or bracket? They're all the same Teletype part number, if
that helps. I had a quick look in the Teletype manuals but they don't
give the type numbers.
