I'm having difficulty following this discussion. I've mentioned that
expanding to later P2/P3 systems will work just fine--there's no need to
limit yourself to a 5160 or 5170 type of system. Eventually, you'll run
into something that needs more.
If it's lotsa ISA slots that's important, pick up an industrial
PC/passive backplane system. 13-slot backplanes are not usual there.
