555 timer, SA602 mixer, CA3046(dual diff pairs with current source), 741
opamp,
723regulator and many more are still common and have been around for a

FYI: RCA had a part that was raw uncommitted CMOS
devices on die in a
12 pin package for for special analog uses. Handy part.
The CD4007, wasn't it? Farnell still lists them, 46p
each in DIP, 15p in SMD.
