Fun, huh?
Did I mention that every RS/6000 I've ever owned required a
token blood sacrifice (MY blood, not a chicken) before it would operate

My experience is that this is very true on MCA machines. The bigger the
machine the more blood (my 6 way 7015 R5U was declared under a voodoo
curse by a regional IBM AIX expert brought in to diagnose various
troubles)
All of my PCs (and a few from friends) required blood sacrifices. My "new"
pair of Sparc SS2s almost did too, but I foiled it's attempt.
