Having download the scans ( overnight ) I have found
that jpeg
or any picture file is just too big for viewing or more important
printing. PDF is the best way to send files. One option is print them
from the scanner as postscript files then use ps2pdf to convert them
to pdf. ps2pdf is part of ghostscript I think.
I used PaintShop Pro to print. Clumsy but it works.
I will see what I can do about getting a PDF version up
